Installation

Cembrit Multi Force

Single layer installation on wall

Cembrit Multi Force boards are easy to install on wood or metal supports and stud wall framing. Even a single layer installation will ensure high racking strength values of the sub-construction. Cembrit Multi Force can be part of an EI 30 construction using a single layer or up to EI60 with additional materials used.

Double layer installation on wall

By using two layers of Cembrit Multi Force, you can markedly improve fire resistance as well as sound insulation properties. Besides that, installing a double layer construction will significantly improve the impact resistance passing the highest energy class 400J of soft body impact without any cracks occurring. Depending on the wall structure type, an EI120 result can be obtained using Cembrit Multi Force.

Further information can be found in the Cembrit Multi Force installation manual.

Installation of Cembrit Multi Force as ceiling

Cembrit Multi Force can be used with great advantage as a ceiling solution. This can either be as a suspended ceiling where you take advantage of the board’s fire and sound properties, or as a ceiling in a garage or similar where you want a robust board that can be left untreated.

Cembrit Multi Force is traditionally installed with screws, but where required, it can also be fixed with nails or staples using a nail gun. The boards come with screw markings which speed up the process and ease the overall installation.
