Cembrit, specialists in natural and fibre cement slates, has provided Contessa natural slates for a new riverside development in Rye, named The Old Pottery. This modern development required an attractive authentic exterior and Cembrit’s Spanish Contessa slates were the perfect answer for the roof covering.
Grey Contessa slates were used throughout the stunning development which consists of one office, three apartments, five townhouses and one detached home. Swift Roofing, who fitted the slates, used the hook fixing method which offers advantages over traditional nail fixing including greater wind resistance, simpler and more time efficient installation once on the roof, easier maintenance and fewer breakages due to holing (which isn’t required for hook fixing).
