CEMBRIT SHINES IN THE VALLEYS!

The beauty of Cembrit’s Montleon natural slate shines through on a recently completed roofing project in the Rhonnda Valley, South Wales. A Spanish natural slate, the textured surface of the slate provides the perfect complement to stone finished facades of a newly renovated farmhouse in the Welsh Valleys.

The characterful farmhouse has recently undergone a complete renovation and refurbishment. The owners have been careful to pick only the best natural materials for the project and Montleon fitted the bill for its ability to blend with the surroundings and complement the other building materials used on the project. Over 8000 slates were supplied by Cembrit’s South Wales Depot. Rob Wallace, Depot Manager comments:

Montleon is a natural slate selected from well established sources and produced by some of the most efficient quarries in Spain. It is available in blue/black, in a variety of sizes. With its stable composition and textured surface Montleon can be relied on to create a roof unlikely to exhibit oxidisation discolouring and therefore ideal for rural locations. Montleon slates will last the life time of a building if installed correctly. Montleon is ideal for cottages, farm buildings, conversions and upgrades of rural properties where a traditional appearance is necessary. The slates can withstand the most severe weather conditions and are unaffected by sunlight, ultraviolet light and even acid rain.
