MOORLAND SLATES AT ROTARY LODGE |

8,000 Moorland fibre cement roofing slates have been supplied by Cembrit, the specialist in natural and man made roofing slates, for Rotary Lodge in Worthing, West Sussex. The blue / black slates were used to roof this high quality retirement development of 40 x two bedroom apartments.
Installed by roofing contractor Cobsen Davies of Worthing, Cembrit’s slates were used across this development which has been developed by Hanover in partnership with Worthing Borough Council. The apartments are designed for those aged over 60 who want to live in modern spacious apartments that fulfil all their expectations and provide an easy to manage life style in a friendly safe environment.

“The slates were very easy to work with and, being pre-holed, were simple to fix” explains Terry Scard, Director of Cobsen Davies. “Moorland slates’ smooth surface and dressed edge gives the appearance of a natural slate from floor level, whilst retaining all the fixing and cost benefits of man-made slate. For this job, they were the ideal solution.”
